Diners Club Australia: Personal Card
Home > Personal > Pen or Pin?
Up until now, when you use your Diners Club Card to pay for something you press ‘credit’ and sign to accept the transaction. From 4 June 2008, participating stores across Australia will allow you to enter a Personal Identification Number (PIN) to authorise your transaction, giving you a quicker and easier alternative to signing. Of course you can continue to sign as you’ve always done. This new service is a financial services industry initiative. We can offer you two types of PINs for your Diners Club Card. 1. PIN for cash access through Club Cash" Having a Personal Identification Number (PIN) for Club Cash means you can access cash at over 14 million Cirrus ATMs worldwide. If you have a PIN for Club Cash you will also be able to use this same PIN to authorise a transaction rather than signing a receipt.
If you have a PIN for Club Cash access already, you will automatically have access to use your PIN for authorisation from 4 June.If you would like a PIN for Club Cash access, please call our customer service team on 1300 360 060.
2. PIN for transaction authorisations onlyIf you would like a PIN for authorising transactions only, and not for Club Cash access, please call our customer service team on 1300 360 060 and we will arrange a PIN to be sent to you in the mail.
