Diners Club Rewards Program Changes


Qantas has announced that from 1 April 2009, Qantas Frequent Flyer points will no longer be a reward option in some credit and charge card reward programs.  While this may affect your Rewards Program, Diners Club is committed to providing you with a range of options so you can continue to enjoy unlimited rewards in your choice of programs.

Business and Corporate Cardholder
There is no change to the Diners Club Rewards Program for Business and Corporate cardholders.  Therefore you can continue to transfer Reward points to Qantas Frequent Flyer as you do today.  Diners Club will also continue to offer over a range of other redemption options including electronics, cash back and points transfer to nine other airline partners.

Personal Cardholder
Effective 1 April 2009, Diners Club Personal cardholders will no longer be able to transfer Reward points to Qantas Frequent Flyer. 

Awarded 5 stars in the Cannex Reward program ratings, the Diners Club Rewards program will continue to offer over 500 rewards including electronics and homewares.  True to our heritage as the travel and entertainment card, our Reward program also features a range of travel options including Travel Cash Rewards enabling you to fly anytime, any flight and points transfer to airline partners including Velocity and Singapore Airlines.

Alternatively, if you would like to continue transferring points to Qantas Frequent Flyer you can switch to our Qantas Frequent Flyer Diners Club Card, where every dollar spent earns you one Frequent Flyer point direct to your Frequent Flyer account.  All other card features and benefits remain the same as your current Personal Card.

Professional Association Co-brand Cardholder
From April 1 2009, Professional Association co-brand cardholders will no longer be able to transfer points to Qantas Frequent Flyer through their current Rewards program.  However, prior to this date we will provide an option for you to move to a new Rewards program where you can continue transferring points to Qantas Frequent Flyer.  We will be in contact over the coming months with more information. 


Frequent Flyer Diners Club Cardholder
There is no change to the Rewards program for Frequent Flyer Diners Club cardholders as all Reward points will continue to automatically be transferred to your Qantas Frequent Flyer account.
