In July 2008, Diners Club International® was acquired by Discover Financial Services*. As a result, from 1 July 2009 all Diners Club Cards will be accepted at millions of merchant locations displaying the Discover Network Acceptance Mark in North America. In addition,Diners Club Members will have access to ATMs via the PULSE Network in the United States^. Please note that we are working to provide more cash withdrawal solutions in countries other than Australia and the United States. Changes to your Diners Club CardYou will notice that all new Diners Club Cards issued from 1 January 2009 display DiscoverNetwork and PULSE Marks on the back in preparation for our acceptance integration.
What does this mean for you?
Please note that within Australia and when traveling abroad, the acceptance of your Cardremains the same and you may continue to:
Using your Card for purchases at Merchants
Until 30 September 2009
· Use your Card as you do today by looking for merchants who display Diners Club International.
From October 2009
· You may also use your Card at merchants who display the Discover Network Acceptance Mark in the United States.
Using your Card for ATM withdrawals
Until 30 June 2009
· Use your Card to withdraw cash at all ATMs throughout Australia.
· When overseas, get cash at ATMs displaying Diners Club International or Cirrus® Logo.
From 1 July 2009
· When overseas, get cash at ATMs displaying Diners Club International or Pulse mark.
